Movement and Medicinal Plants: Befriend Your Anger

Description

Anger is not the enemy, it is a totally normal response that deserves to be recognized and respected just like our joy or sorrow. Herbalist Mercy, and Banana Yoga owner Marlo, will share how to befriend and move your anger through your body using plant medicine, and different movement practices. Marlo will guide you through movements that will help create space for the emotion of anger and help you move energy through your body so anger doesn't stagnate. Mercy will share how plant medicine can create the space, and tenderness for anger to move and be cooled. Your anger is like a mud from which a lotus of compassion can bloom, if only we give it the container it needs so it does not spread. Mercy Tyne, a clinical herbalist, currently practicing out of Berkeley Herbal Center. She is passionate about educating and empowering people through herbalism to live a more connected, energized, expansive life, full of wonder, passion, and creativity. Drawing on experience in herbal education and community liaising, she uses herbalism to connect people back to nature and to themselves, showing them how to heal and live more vibrantly.
