“Health is a state of complete harmony of the body, mind and spirit. When one is free from physical disabilities and mental distractions, the gates of the soul open.” – B.K.S. Iyengar

Why Liturgy?

Liturgy, as defined by its Greek root, is “a public work done for the good of community.” Herbalism is, and has always been, a practice of communing with plants and environment, creating medicine with and for community. Without community, there is no herbalism.

Another understanding of a liturgy is a ritualistic practice that emphasizes beauty and connects one with the divine. Herbalism is a practice that incorporates ritual, beauty, and divinity. Beauty is an integral, and overlooked, aspect of healing!

Client Testimonials

  • I had digestion issues, fatigue, and just not feeling well. I also have lupus so I'm in a constant state of inflammation. I contacted Mercy and told her my issues and asked if she could help. Well, Mercy took all that I told her and developed a protocol to help heal the gut and reduce inflammation. After 3 weeks I feel great, I've lost weight, stomach pains are gone and my digestion issues have subsided. Mercy is great and I would recommend her to anyone. <3

  • I consulted with Mercy for menopausal issues for which she prescribed a tincture and a tea. After several months, my menopausal sweats had abated, I was sleeping better, and I lost some tummy flab! Mercy was thoroughly professional, caring and knowledgeable and she was very conscientious about following up to gauge my progress. I am very happy with the results and I highly recommended Mercy’s services.

  • Mercy was my clinician at Berkeley Herbal Center.  Initially, We talked about the arthritis symptoms I was having.  Mercy made a tincture and gave herbs to brew into tea, which have been helpful for alleviating my symptoms. Additionally, as new symptoms of anxiety came up, she made another tincture to treat it, which is very effective.

  • I’ve been treating my endometriosis/hormonal imbalances with Mercy for awhile and her knowledge with herbs, nutrition and lifestyle have been so helpful on my healing journey! She is always very attentive about my symptoms and the way this is related to my emotions/anxiety. Her approach makes me feel safe and comfortable to share everything that I feel and finding the best path to improve my health! My hormonal imbalance and gut health have improved since we started our treatment with herbs, supplements and change of lifestyle! I would definitely recommend her!

  • I have insomnia and some pain. I tried some of your honey. I soon experienced a mild and exciting , pleasant intoxication which allowed me focus on both conditions. I was energized and was able to work in my garden 3 weeks out of wrist surgery. I did this for an hour. I suffer from insomnia and while I did not fall asleep I am relaxed and the anxiety associated with my insomnia is greatly lessened. It should also be noted the I am 70 year old man with lots of medical conditions.
